Founder's Story

My name is Trish Bartholomew and I am the inventor of Madison's Stretcher Pack.

On a particularly snowy night several years ago, my dog Madison became extremely ill after eating poisonous plants. Because we were snowed in, I could not take him immediately to the vet. I lay on the floor with him, fearing the worst. Even if I could have made it to the vet, I wondered how I would have carried an 85 pound dog to my car. By the grace of God, Madison made it through the night and I was able to take him to the vet the next morning.

A few weeks after this incident, the concept for what is now Madison's Stretcher Pack came to me in a dream. The next morning I quickly tried to replicate what I had seen in my dream with materials I had in the house.

Emergency Stretcher Packs for Adventurous Hikers and Their Furry Companions.

Today, Madison's Stretcher Pack is patented and is available in two models, the “Original” and “Hiking Buddy.” Our stretchers are washable and reusable.

Customers range from hiking enthusiasts to owners of aging pets and even vets and law enforcement.
